This class was design by Olmos in 2011 to introduce a complete conceptual and technological history of photography to students of all levels.

The program has been updated and refined as time has passed and right now offers a full understanding of photography, as an artistic manifestation and its journey through time to become part of the "fine art" family, as well as the latest trends offered by studios and ateliers in the nowadays highly competitive market.

During the class, students will know from pre-photographic techniques like the silhouette drawings - a well-known light/shadow portraiture form in the XVII century-; the revolution of Dada and its influence in modern photography, all the way to how the virtual photography has changed the way everyone sees and understands our career.
