It will be a fun introduction to seeing the world through a photographer’s eye and how to think in terms of a photographic frame to capture the world. . That means using all types of tools and techniques to create images including pinhole cameras.
They will use their phones as an introduction to composition and framing and move on to introduce the students to DSLR cameras and their workings.
We will use natural light around the building to capture images of architecture, portraits, and abstracts, and continue thinking creatively about subjects and the creative possibilities of daylight and then introduce them to studio time with strobes and light painting and also a brief introduction to Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
By the end of the course, students will have developed a portfolio of prints and an artist statement. The course will culminate in a final presentation for family and friends and Online Portfolio.
